At the same time, a pre-civil war house right next door was used as a hospital during the battle. The actual property itself contains a pre-civil war general store on it along with another victorian home.

Guests can walk to the lake for swimming or bring their own boat. Lake Allatoona is just 300 ft. away. There are also places to park boat trailers on the property. Allatoona Landing marina is within walking distance and currently offers a lakeside restaurant, beach, boat ramp, dock and camping grounds. Every now and then a train runs across the back of the property which is a part of the Civil War history.
