Lake Allatoona Inn
(Circa 1893)

Lake Allatoona Inn is a bed and breakfast farm and events facility rich in history and charm. This victorian mansion was built in 1893 and has been meticulously restored to it's original splender.

The inn also offers state of the art modern conveniences. Individual rooms through out the mansion contain private baths, while the bridal suite has a jetted hot tub. On the first and second floor, one can find wrap-around porches accompanied with stain glass windows. A luxorious gourmet kitchen also exist on the first story with imported French tile floors. Meanwhile, nine fireplaces scattered throughout the house help accent the mansion. Countless other features also make this house a must see for the Victorian home lover.

The mansion itself has 16 acres on which horses graze the pasture throughout the day. Eventually, the inn hopes to be able to provide stalls and kennel spaces for guest's canine and equine friends. Allatoona pass, which was the site of "The Battle of Allatoona Pass", is directly across from the house. At the same time, a pre-civil war house right next door was used as a hospital during the battle. The actual property itself contains a pre-civil war general store on it along with another victorian home.

Guests can walk to the lake for swimming or bring their own boat. Allatoona Landing Marina is just 500 ft. away and the inn has a private dock. There are also places to park boat trailers on the property. The marina currently offers a lakeside restaurant, beach, boat ramp, dock and camping grounds. The dam across the street also contains a breathtaking view of the lake. Every now and then a train runs across the back of the property which is a part of the Civil War history.
