Lake Allatoona

Lake Allatoona is a popular recreational lake in the south. Access to the lake is within 1000 ft of the inn through a public park.

• Managed by the US Army Corp of Engineers
• Originally built for flood control and as a resevoir
• The lake is 12,010 acres in size and has 270 miles of shoreline
• Formed by the building of the Allatoona Dam on the Etowah River. It has been in operation since 1950 and is one of the most popular recreational lakes in the country.
